These Shrimp Tacos bring a burst of flavor to your meal! Grilled shrimp seasoned with a mix of spices, served in whole-wheat tortillas with a refreshing cabbage slaw and creamy avocado crema. It's a high-protein meal that's as healthy as it is delicious, perfect for lunch or dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 whole-wheat tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lime


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Toss the shrimp with olive oil and spice mix until coated.
  2. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Grill shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until opaque and cooked through. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, toss shredded cabbage with lime juice and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. In a food processor, blend 1 ripe avocado, juice of 1 lime, and a pinch of salt until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. To assemble, warm the tortillas and fill each with cabbage slaw, grilled shrimp, and a dollop of avocado crema.
  6. Serve immediately with extra lime wedges on the side.
